Ryan Hamilton
Associate Professor & Consultant Pharmacist for Antimicrobials,

Ryan has a clinical background as a consultant pharmacist for antimicrobials and now works in academia where he leads on research on the management of drug-resistant infections, antimicrobial stewardship, and the experiences of those colonised and infected with resistant organisms. He was recently a collaborator on the PEACH study investigating the role of procalcitonin in COVID-19, and now collaborates on the UKAR study. In addition to his academic role, Ryan works with hospital across the world on their AMS programmes through the British Society of Antimicrobial Therapy’s Global AMS Accreditation Scheme.
